Share markets rebounded strongly in July, despite rising inflation and the growing talk of recession. With markets having already fallen into bear market territory this year, much of the bad news may already be reflected in prices.

In the following video, Chief Investment Officer, Ashley Gardyne, talks about what has happened to share markets following historic bear markets and recessions and what learnings we can take from that. Often the worst thing investors can do is capitulate and lock in losses when pessimism is already high. Our research shows returns in the 12 months following a bear market are typically high.
