A change to the target investment mix of the Balanced Strategy

Our investment team has recently completed a full review of the target investment mix of our KiwiSaver funds and investment strategies.

As a result of this review, we are making the following changes to the Fisher Funds KiwiSaver Scheme Balanced Strategy (Balanced Strategy) from 30 September 2025.

The Balanced Strategy is made up of a combination of the Conservative Fund and Growth Fund. As the target investment mix for these funds is changing, we’re updating the fund allocation to maintain the optimal 40% income assets and 60% growth assets split for a balanced investor. The new target fund mix will be 33.4% Conservative Fund and 66.6% Growth Fund (currently 40% Conservative Fund and 60% Growth Fund).

Due to the increased allocation to the Growth Fund, the annual fund charge for the Balanced Strategy will increase slightly from 1.00% to 1.01%. There is no change to the risk rating and suggested minimum timeframe for the Balanced Strategy.

What do you have to do?

You don’t need to do anything. On or about 30 September we will rebalance your account to the new target fund mix (using the same process we use to rebalance your account annually every August).

If you do not wish to remain in the Balanced Strategy you are able to change your investment strategy. You can do this by logging in to Fisher Funds Online, selecting ‘Account options’ then ‘Review your strategy’.

Alternatively, you can contact us to change your investment strategy. Please note that if you do opt out of the Balanced Strategy your account will no longer be rebalanced each year.
