Today Sir John Wells announced his retirement as Chairman and Director of Fisher Funds Management Limited with immediate effect. After 18 years of service Sir John, having successfully overseen the major change in shareholding of the company in 2017, is retiring with his contribution to Fisher Funds complete and to enable him to focus on other priorities.

Sir John has overseen Fisher Funds evolving from a small specialist Fund Manager, to the iconic New Zealand brand and major Fund Manager it is today. This has been a significant New Zealand success story.

Sir John will be succeeded as the appointed Chair by current Non-Executive Director, David Clarke. David has many years experience at the most senior level of financial services in Australia and New Zealand.

We would like to acknowledge the great service Sir John has provided to Fisher Funds over an extended period of time.
